Service Mechanic
Summary
The Service Mechanic is responsible for repairing, disassembling, and reassembling mechanical parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications of the production line within our manufacturing and/or service facility. Positions in Ellabell/Pembroke.
Reports to Service Manager.

Position Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic mechanical skills
- Basic English reading skills – must be able to follow directions and read product and part specifications
- Must be able to read equipment specifications including hydraulic and electrical schematics
- Some technical or vocational training preferred, but not required
Key Responsibilities
Equipment and Service Repairs
- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly and repair instructions, schematic specifications, and parts lists. Gathers relevant parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials per instructions.
- Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit.
- Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
- Complete task by scheduled customer deadlines.
Troubleshooting

Resolves mechanical equipment problems though troubleshooting, diagnostic procedures, and completing repairs per preauthorized specifications. Obtain additional resources as needed.

Identifies faulty components during the repairs and confirm functionality before proceeding.
Preventive Maintenance & Safety
- Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs as needed.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results and minimize waste.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
