Faro Arm Operator


The Faro Arm Operator is responsible for checking incoming parts for accuracy to drawing.

Reports to Operations Manager.

Position Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3-4 years mechanical assembly experience
  • Basic English reading skills – must be able to follow directions and read product and part specifications
  • Must be able to read equipment specifications including hydraulic and electrical schematics
  • Some technical or vocational training preferred

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate Faro Arm to verify various products are in dimensional accordance with drawings and specifications.
  • Trouble shoot Faro Arm programs and recommend improvements to inspection methods.
  • Conduct regular maintenance on Faro Arm and inspection equipment, (calibration control is a plus).
  • Collect and organize data using machine controller, desktop computer with Faro Arm and SolidWorks software (3D Experience software is a plus, but not required).
  • Understand programming and geometrical, dimensions, and tolerances (GD&T).
  • Uses calipers, micrometers, and other precision devices as required.

  • Regularly lift 30-50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • May require the ability to use various hand tools during the process.
