Electrical Harness Designer
Summary
The Electrical Harness Designer is responsible for developing electrical system and schematics, hydraulic harness schematic, manufacturing drawings, and inspection sheets. Perform design calculations relating to current, voltage, power, temperature, heat buildup, bend radius, and mounting locations. Specify electrical and electronic components. Maintain accurate BOM of the parts created and of the complete machine.
Position in Ellabell, GA & St. Joseph's, MI.
Reports to Engineering Manager.

Position Requirements

Technical school diploma for design and drafting or Bachelor of Science on Engineering

Minimum of 2 years of experience wire harness/electric schematic design using design software (preferably Arcadia.).
Key Responsibilities
-
Perform design calculations relating to current, voltage, power, temperature, heat buildup, bend radius and mounting locations.

Specify electric and electronic components.

Maintain accurate BOM of the parts created of the complete machine.

Support production with documentation and training.

Support after sales team with documentation, training, and troubleshooting.

Support the development of prototypes. Work with mechanical design engineers to develop new harness and improve current products based on field issues and customer feedback. Gather pertinent data on the electrical performance of products under laboratory, shop floor, and field conditions.
