About the LR160 Long Mast
The LR160 is CZM’s largest drilling rig of the Long Reach series, and it is mounted on a CAT 340 Next Gen and has a special designed boom with 2 lift cylinders which allows for a higher torque and crowd force to be applied to the tool, which aligned with interlocking Kelly bars makes it efficient on rock and hard soil drilling. Round Friction bars are also available for high production on softer soils. The long reach configuration makes it ideal to applications such as sound bearing walls, transmission lines and utilities, drilling on a steep slopes, and difficult to reach holes.
Base:
- The new Cat 340 Next Gen powered by a fuel efficient Tier 4 Final C9.1 ACERT engine.
- Equipped with CAT Vision Link that allows management to monitor machine operations and maintenance data online.
Undercarriage:
- Caterpillar variable undercarriage VH5000/4300/800. Reinforced frame H style variable undercarriage.
Mast:
- Reinforced mast, with high resistance steel Weldox 700.
Main Winch:
- Special groove for better cable winding and longer cable life.
- Press-roller included.
- 2 gears allows for both high speed and high pulling force.
